Ticket #240, comment 10
initial v1 1 Thank you for your answer. I can accept this, however, there are two problems that remain:(I can open another ticket if needed)1 Thank you so much for your kind answer and help. 2 2 3 - if the turbulence turns off the particle should rapidly sink back into the turbulent layer, they should not maintain a constant height. I set the dry deposition velocity as 20 cm/s in my input file, but I have checked the vertical velocity and dry deposition velocity during the simulation and both of them are zero. Can you comment on this? 3 I could now resolve the problem. The main problem I had was caused by dry deposition velocity failed to be read from the input file. This was solved by using option of giving density, diameter and std of the particles. 4 4 5 - even if the turbulence turns off the particles should still be advected along with the mean flow, not just dither around a constant horizontal position (This is what I see from the horizontal trajectory model). 6 7 Thank you very much, 8 9 Iris 10 5 This bug should be mentioned in somewhere or the reading of dry deposition velocity from input file should be removed.
